Turning, Milling, Grinding, Honing Machines and Workholding solutions to be on Display at Premier Manufacturing Technology Show
ELMIRA, NY (May 26, 2022) – This year’s International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) will include a major presence by Hardinge, Inc. At IMTS 2022, Hardinge will introduce over 20 turning, milling, grinding, and honing machines, along with its industry leading standard and custom workholding solutions. The 33rd edition of IMTS 2022 is scheduled for September 12-17, 2022 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.
Hardinge will be presenting seven grinding machines, the largest display the company has ever brought to IMTS. For the first time in over a decade, the company will be presenting the high-precision, high-quality Hauser 2000 jig grinder. This machine not only meets the demand of the market for combined grinding and hard milling on a single jig grinder, but also enables further improvements in machining precision to meet future requirements. The overall result of the Hauser 2000 is a significant increase in productivity not only for the ultra-precise grinding processes on the machine, but also for hard milling.
In addition to the grinding display, there will be American-Made XR milling centers, Talent Series CNC Lathes, SUPER-PRECISION turning solutions running carbide dies in a production setting, a Forkardt Tru-Change Workholding display, and multiple automation examples allowing for lights out manufacturing. IMTS 2022 will also allow Hardinge Inc. to spotlight the capabilities of its recent acquisitions of Ohio Tool Works (OTW) and the German manufacturer Weisser Group.
The broad dispay of Hardinge’s products, services and productivity solutions allow the company to stand out amongst nearly 1,300 exhibitors from the manufacturing industry that will be in attendance.
IMTS 2020 was cancelled to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Hardinge Inc.’s Chief Marketing Officer & Vice President of Sales, Ryan Ervin said the excitement continues to intensify for the leading manufacturing technology show in America. “After recently attending the GrindingHub 2022 trade fair in Stuttgart, Germany, both attendees and exhibitors were enthusiastic about meeting at an in-person event again,” said Ervin.
“After a four year gap since the last IMTS, we expect many companies will be attending to see the new technology available to support all manufacturers with our machines and products,” explained Ervin.
“We look at IMTS 2022 as the perfect venue for lead generation,” added Ervin. “Hardinge’s participation in IMTS allows us to create new customer contacts, but also strengthen our relationships with current customers and suppliers.”
Hardinge Inc.’s company presentation can be found in two locations at McCormick Place. The machine booth will be located in the South Hall (Booth #339100). Meanwhile, the company’s Tooling and Workholding Systems will be on display in the West Building (Booth #431314).
“Everyone has become accustomed to communicating virtually the last couple of years. However, there’s nothing like standing face-to-face with industry experts and leading technology to discuss application requirements.”
Technical Sales Manager, Adam White, says, “After 20-years plus, working the IMTS show with Hardinge, I am excited and looking forward to this year having one of the largest booth’s and certainly the broadest, best in class product line ever.”
Ervin said the Hardinge. team looks forward to meeting as many people as possible during this year’s event. “Check our website at hardinge.com for more details about our display and this tradeshow.”
